My practice is an entirely virtual experience – for all clients except children.
I first moved into creating my practice during the beginning stages of the pandemic and started by offering virtual only. I loved the experience. Not only is Virtual Therapy more accessible, but it is also effective.
Based on my experience working virtually, I believe this is a better experience for teen and adult clients.
Vulnerability is part of the therapeutic process. Being in a space where you feel most comfortable allows you to open up to details of your life that you may not typically divulge.
Virtual Therapy allows for more profound work that sticks and is a more connected experience.
Virtual Therapy is effective.
Research has found that Virtual Therapy works, even when using EMDR!
I can see “you” without the added stressors of finding my office, paying for parking, and wondering if you will make it to work or home in time.
I can see you in the space that you call home, allowing me to see the things I typically would not be able to see.
Together, we can peel the layers to explore, heal, and grow.
Being accessible to clients is my passion.
Virtual Therapy allows me to offer therapy to all of North Carolina.
Why should we be confined to finding a therapist in our town if it is not the right fit?
Single parents should have equal access to therapy and may not have the opportunity to seek it out because their plate is full.
Rural communities deserve access, and persons with disabilities should have access to therapy.
Virtual Therapy is easy and confidential.
To work virtually, grab your phone or laptop and click the link to begin the session. I use two HIPPA-compliant virtual platforms in my practice. Both platforms work well and are user-friendly.
When you are ready to book a free 15-minute consultation, give me a call or text or email me. We will have a quick conversation to ensure it is a good fit.
Once we confirm that we can work together, we will schedule the first session. You can either schedule at the end of the consultation or call or email me once you decide to move forward.
Once you schedule a session, you will receive a reminder notification 24 hours before the session. I send out reminders, allowing you to reach out in advance should you need to reschedule or cancel the appointment. You use the same process to schedule sessions moving forward.
If you are under the age of 14, let’s meet in person!
Working with children is more often best in person… for my little clients, I have an office space designed to make therapy fun and engaging.
I am passionate about working with children and adolescents because I am a big believer in early intervention. During therapy, we will work on different skills that can assist your child in gaining more control with their emotional regulation, feeling identification, and communication skills.
Therapy for children often involves different modalities, including art supplies, games, and toys. My office is equipped to engage the child as we learn their thinking.
Although I prefer to meet children in person, virtual is a great supplemental tool when you cannot bring your child to session or if someone in the house is feeling unwell.
Still uncertain?
If you are unsure of Virtual Therapy, I encourage you to try it.
I have had many successful outcomes and experiences with individuals who were unsure about the setup.
If it does not work, that is okay. I can help guide you in finding the right fit. If it does work, think of all the possibilities.
Don’t let life and obligations keep you from seeking therapy. Virtual Therapy is a viable option that is proven effective and can help address issues that cause us to be stressed and stuck.
