Anxiety

1148842544Life is scary.

You constantly wonder when the next problem will come your way. With every pain you feel, you’re Googling the symptoms because you feel convinced that something is wrong this time. The thought makes it feel like you have knots in your stomach all the time, and sometimes you feel tingly or sick.

To keep these feelings at bay, you make plans, and those plans have plans. This approach is problematic because you don’t control many things around you.

The only constant is that life is full of changes. When life shows us the reality of our world, those realities send us into a tailspin, causing us to grasp at every straw to keep from falling off the ledge. Usually, we push down those feelings while focusing on other things that work. But this approach only lasts for so long.

Living like this is stressful, and it continues to become more and more stressful. As a result, your plate keeps piling up with plans, expectations, and your attempts to remain in control. What you’re experiencing is anxiety, and it doesn’t feel good.

Negative feelings tend to get worse.

The longer you live in this constant state of anxious thoughts, the more apt your brain is to think that
things around you seem full of danger.

Your body will begin to react to many external stimuli as a threat, and the body sensations you experience when anxious will become a part of your day-to-day feeling. You may remain in a state of anxiousness, or it could manifest into panic attacks. You may have had one already.

Panic can cause your chest to feel tight, making it difficult to remember the last time you were able to take a deep breath without tension in your muscles.

It’s time to change, but you don’t know how. The feeling is so overwhelming you don’t think that anyone will understand or be able to help.
