About Brittany Greer, LCMHC

Hi! I am Brittany, the founder and therapist behind Tides of Change PLLC.

It’s an honor to walk alongside those navigating life’s most vulnerable moments, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 15 years of my life as a competitive athlete – including time as a Division I volleyball player.

When that chapter came to a close, I found myself at a loss – grappling with identity, purpose, and the paralyzing weight of perfectionism and performance anxiety. That personal journey ultimately led me to discover my calling: helping others move through anxiety, life transitions, and trauma toward clarity and healing.

DogsMy Educational and Career Journey

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Art from Winthrop University, where I learned to value creativity, expression, and resilience. (So, to all the creatives out there – I see you!) I completed my master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Career Counseling at East Carolina University. Along the way, I worked in various settings, including career services, school-based programs, and rehabilitation centers – each one helping to shape the holistic, client-centered approach I bring to my work today.

Now, as the founder of a growing group practice, I continue to work closely with individuals while also supporting a team of like-minded therapists who share a passion for providing peaceful, responsive, and trauma-informed care. We specialize in working with adults and couples through individual therapy – including EMDR – and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

When I’m not in sessions…

…you’ll likely find me spending time with my husband and our beloved dogs, watching suspenseful dramas and reality shows (yes, Nailed It is a favorite), or fully embracing my love of all things pumpkin spice in the fall. I’m also a devoted Peloton member and love mixing up my workouts with biking, shadow boxing, and Pilates.

Wherever you are in your journey, know this: you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m so glad you’re here.
